RSPCA Darwin is directed by a skilled, local volunteer Board of directors who each bring expertise in their field to improve animal welfare in the Northern Territory.
Chris is a senior leader in science and industry working across Australia and internationally in the agricultural, resource and environment sectors.
Chris has qualifications in ecology and science and has extensive experience in governance, regulation, research and enterprise risk management.
Chris and his family have called the NT home for the last 8 years and adopted Tango in 2021 from RSPCA NT. Chris joined the RSPCA NT Board in July 2023 and has been Chair since July 2024.
Luigi is a finance professional with over a decade of experience within multiple sectors and hold qualifications in accountancy.
Luigi has lived in Darwin since 2018 and been Board Treasurer at RSPCA NT since July 2020.
He has a passion for animal welfare and is proud to be on the Board of RSPCA NT. Luigi’s dog Eve was adopted from RSPCA NT.
Danny is an experienced executive and director with an extensive career in the government and private sector. Danny holds qualifications in IT, marketing, governance, Indigenous engagement and applied finance.
Danny has been a Director of RSPCA NT since November 2015, and was Chair between November 2017 and June 2024. Danny is also a Director of RSPCA Australia since February 2018 and has been passionate about animal welfare since a young age. In addition, Danny is also a Director of Hobart City Mission and Woolnorth Renewables.
Danny is owned by his beloved dog Buddy, who was adopted from RSPCA NT in April 2020.
Lea has lived in the NT since 1974. After a career of more than 20 years with the NT Government, Lea transitioned to HR and then real estate. Lea now concentrates on her board positions and volunteer work and has served on the RSPCA NT Board since March 2018.
Lea is a current member of the Agents’ Licensing Board and the National Medical Board as well as a member of the Animal Ethics Committee at CDU.
Charles joined RSPCA NT as Operations Manager in September 2023 and is responsible for leading the team and overseeing the operations of RSPCA NT.
Charles has an extensive background in animal welfare. He and his wife Jane have passionately advocated for the betterment of animals in South Africa, New Zealand and Australia through not-for-profit enterprises and initiatives.
Charles trained as an accountant and has spent most of his career in senior leadership roles. He has been the General Manager of an aviation group of companies and practice managed several general practitioner doctor’s clinics and veterinary practices.
